I visited my lovely Auntie in Perth this weekend. While we were wandering around Fremantle, I went into Elizabeth’s Secondhand Bookshop. They had this great idea to get you to read something you wouldn’t usually read:
This is the blind date book I chose – what do you think it might be?
This is such a great idea.
Must be Jeeves and Wooster by P. G. Wodehouse?
Though not sure of which story…
Ok… so did no one else answer because the question was rhetorical or was the answer just really obvious? I thought I was being rather clever, but now I’m not so sure… 🙂
It wasn’t a rhetorical question and the answer wasn’t obvious to me until I opened the package… then I thought, ‘Of course it’s Jeeves and Wooster!’ But I didn’t think of it beforehand. But you were correct! The exact book is Jeeves in the Offing.
That’s great! Let us know what you think of it when you’ve read it. I’ve not read this one yet myself.
Such a wonderful idea. I have seen this done in libraries but not a secondhand bookshop.
Oh, I love this idea so much… I want to steal it.
